Today was our wedding anniversary, and as we had our granddaughter with us for the day we were looking for something "different" to do that would also keep her amused.  It was almost a random chance that we thought about visiting Aberdour Castle - there's a play park nearby that was the first thing in our minds, but then we realised that we hadn't been to the castle in years, not since our own children were quite little.  In fact our youngest son couldn't remember ever having been there.

I've got a lot of transparencies that I took during the 1980's.  I used "slide" film, mainly Kodachrome 25 in those days (no digital cameras then), but slipped into using negative film for ease of getting prints when I got married.  A while back, I started scanning in some of my old transparencies, but it's a slow process if you want decent resolution, so I only ever managed to do a handful out of each box.

The 2008 Nordic Test Forum was held in Tallinn, Estonia in the appropriately named Nordic Hotel Forum, just outside the historic old town.  Following independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, Estonians have tried to eradicate all traces of the Soviet "occupation", including a wholescale restoration of the Nevsky Cathedral which had fallen into disrepair.

Morgan is our granddaughter.  Here are few photos from her first birthday...

In 2011, the International Test Conference was held in the Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim.  Here's a selection of pics from my trip - hover on an image for a description or click on it for a larger view.
